EXPLORING THE MURRAY MALLEE.

The Mallee region begins just over 100km east of Adelaide where the Mallee Hwy joins the Dukes Hwy. just east of Tailem Bend. From the east turn off the Dukes Hwy west of Bordertown onto the Pinnaroo Rd and from the north you can turn south from Loxton in the Riverland, or at several points along the Sturt Hwy between Waikerie and Truro.
From Sydney the Mallee Hwy crosses the border after Ouyen and travels through the centre of the region.
There is limited accommodation in the Mallee region outside of Pinnaroo and the major towns on the fringe like Keith, Bordertown, Tailem Bend and Loxton. A search of the area can be done by pressing the button above right. For individual towns use the accommodation link at the left.
